Welcome To Oak Prairie Nursery

Plains Tree Farm is a family business that started in Davenport, NE 35 years ago catering to the wholesale market with 60 acres of trees. 

Our second facility is located west of Lincoln and known as Oak Prairie Nursery- on Interstate 80 at Exit #388. Even though our focus is primarily the wholesale market, we are expanding into offering you, the consumer, the opportunity to buy directly from the source. With two nurseries, over 100 acres of trees and 35 years experience, we would like to help you get a great value for your landscaping dollar.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Saturday mornings and after hour visits by appointment only.

Autumn Blaze Maple -Hybrid of a Silver and Red Maple, this is a rapid growing tree with orange/red Fall colors. Mature height of 50 to 60 foot. Red Sunset Maple-This maple tree is vigorous growing with a symmetrical branching habit. The foilage is dark green and glossy in the summer and a florescent orange-red in the Fall. Mature Height of 45 to 50 foot. Legacy Sugar Maple-This maple tree has a dense crown with thick, dark green leaves. Red to orange Fall color. Leaves are resistant to leaf tatter. Oval shaped.. Mature height of 50 foot and width of 35 foot. Red Oak-These oaks are the fastest growers in the oak family. They are large, hardy trees with glossy, green leaves that turn deep red in the Fall. Mature height of 60 to 80 foot. Embers Maple-A large tree with a narrow habit in youth and maturing to a rounded outline. The foilage is lustrous green in summer and turning bright red in the Fall. A vigorous and hardy tree. Mature height of 45 to 50 foot and width of 25 to 30 foot. Wentworth Viburnum-Soft, maple-like leaves. Produces white lacecap flowers mid-May to mid-June followed by bunches of shiny bright red berries by August.
